Proximal gonad shows the gonad sheath cell pairs #4 and #5 here. Spermathecal cells are immature, and the spermathecal valve is still blocked by two core cells. No sperm have entered the spermatheca yet. Instead, four large maturing spermatocytes lie inside the gonad sheath.
